Clubs and Connections

Branch out.

One of the best ways to get in the Mills spirit and gather with fellow alums is through regional clubs and branches, a tradition that dates back to 1914. There are currently more than 25 such groups across the United States and around the world that organize events for local alumnae, such as museum visits and holiday parties. Volunteers head these branches and correspond with the Office of Alumnae Relations for assistance with invitations, venue rentals, catering, etc.

Recent club and branch events have included a San Diego brunch with the Mills Institute executive director; a group outing to the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, New York; and salmon barbecues outside Seattle and Portland.

Look below for info on the club or branch closest to you, with names of club leaders and links to websites or Facebook pages where available. If you need additional contact info, or you don’t see a chapter in a particular area and would like to start one, contact us at mills.alumnaerelations@northeastern.edu or 510.430.2123.

Virtual Events

During the COVID pandemic, many traditional alum events—including Reunion—moved online. Though most have transitioned back to in person, there are still regular opportunities to gather over Zoom, whether they’re virtual town halls about the development of the Mills Institute or class-specific happy hours. If you’re not already receiving invitations for these events and would like to, email us at mills.alumnaerelations@northeastern.edu.

Social Media

The Office of Alumnae Relations maintains several social-media accounts:

Mills College Alumnae on Facebook
Mills Quarterly on X, BlueSky, Instagram
Mills College legacy account on LinkedIn

There are also many unofficial gathering places online for Mills alums, as well as several operated by the Alumnae Association of Mills College.

Directory

The directory offered by Northeastern’s Office of Alumni Relations is known as NUsource. We recommend joining NUsource to find and connect with graduates from across the Northeastern network, including Mills alums.
