Join the San Diego Mills Club and Northeastern University alums for a day with the Second Chance Youth Garden Program, which will host a work opportunity for guests to plant and dig, a small lesson on regenerative agriculture and nutrition, and lunch prepared and served by the program’s students using ingredients from the garden and local farms.
Part of the larger Second Chance vocational training program primarily for adults, the Second Chance Youth Garden serves youth ages 14-21 through hands-on experience with urban agriculture. This program combines classroom and experiential learning with classes on cooking/nutrition, food justice, financial literacy, job readiness, and youth development workshops.
