Harlem Stage’s E-Moves was created to attract Black choreographers—who worked mainly downtown in Manhattan in white-dominated dance institutions—and bring them uptown to Harlem. Chipaumire joined other original E-Moves artists for a commemorative season featuring performances and a panel discussion on the series’ impact.
